President’s Final Address

Dear Neighbors,

It has been my absolute pleasure to serve the majority of this wonderful community during my time as President of the HOA. From the moment I stepped into this role, I had a clear vision: to enhance safety, streamline processes and procedures, establish official lines of communication, improve land maintenance, and ensure property values continued to climb.

I am proud to say that, in just half a term, we achieved these goals together. Along the way, we also managed to lower HOA dues and reduce operational costs, ensuring Crystal Hill remains a vibrant and thriving neighborhood with or without me.

However, the time has come for me to step aside and let your remaining board members take the reins, as they finally step up to serve this community.

In leaving, I want to share that I have made a handshake agreement with the remaining board members to sell the custom-built HOA website to the community, we will still put valuable information here even if the board chooses not to use it. It is a valuable community asset for the foreseeable future, ensuring we all stay informed.

Before I go, I’d like to offer a couple of pieces of advice: Read the Bylaws and CCR’s! Remember, we are all human, and nobody is perfect. Mistakes will happen, but patience and understanding go a long way. And if all else fails, the simplest rule still applies—treat others how you wish to be treated.

Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to serve. I wish Crystal Hill Community continued growth, success, and prosperity in the years to come.

Warm regards,

President Burnside

Presidential Accomplishments

  • City Support Lowers HOA Costs

We are delighted to announce that the city will be covering the electricity costs for our community street lights for the foreseeable future. This support has significantly lowered our operational costs by approximately $12,000 a year. In relation to this, our street lights have recently been serviced and will continue to be serviced by the city on their dime.

As a result, we have been able to justify the recent reduction in HOA dues, making it more affordable for all residents. We appreciate the city's assistance and were committed to using our resources efficiently to benefit the entire community.

  • Traffic Signs Added to Enhance Community Safety

We are pleased to announce that traffic signs have recently been added throughout the entire Crystal Hill community. After not having them for over four years, these new signs are a significant step toward improving road safety and ensuring a safer environment for all residents.

We hope that these additions will contribute to a more secure neighborhood.

  • As everyone has seen, we secured the same lawn service as last season, however, we were able to negotiate a more aggressive schedule for this season.

This will hopefully improve the quality of our common spaces and entrances, and allow us to spend less to maintain it next season. We appreciate your support in keeping our community common areas clean.

  • Back in October, the request was made to increase the size of the drain on Quartz Ridge to provide relief to our neighbors affected by flooding. Unfortunately when the drain was originally installed, the wrong size was used and ultimately caused flooding. This recently completed installation was paid for by our community developer and ensures relief for those affected.

  • Exciting News: Custom Logo and Letterhead Coming Soon!

We are thrilled to announce that Crystal Hill will soon have a custom logo and letterhead for our website, official HOA communications, and other uses. This new branding will reflect our community's identity and enhance the professionalism of our communications.

  • Gym Repairs Started on February 25th

We would like to inform all residents that the gym will undergo repairs, there will be technicians in and out of the gym for the next three weeks, approximately if paid for by your temp board.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to improve our community amenities.

  • Community Voting Process Now Available Online

We are excited to announce that the community voting process for Crystal Hill HOA was accessible through this website. The new feature allowed homeowners to participate in important decisions conveniently and securely.

Use your vote wisely, at the end of the day you paid for the land you live on! Not even the HOA should be trying to control you or your land. Hold the board accountable for what gets done and what does not get done for the community. Personal disputes are not the business of the HOA, ever.
